FAQs

  • Is chiropractic care safe?

Chiropractic adjustments are a widely recognized, non-invasive treatment option. With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Gerega uses techniques appropriate for your age, health history, and comfort level.

  • Do you take X-rays?

X-rays are used only when medically necessary — not as a standard requirement. If imaging is recommended, Dr. Gerega will explain why it is helpful and what information it provides.

  • How long does an appointment take?

Initial visits typically take 30–45 minutes, depending on your needs.

Follow-up visits are usually 15–45 minutes.

  • Do you offer acupuncture?

Yes. Acupuncture is available as a reliable therapy to address pain, tension, and stress-related symptoms.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes. The clinic works with several major insurance plans. Coverage varies by provider and policy. Please call the office with your insurance information to confirm benefits.

  • Will I be pressured into a long-term plan?

No. Treatment recommendations are always based on your condition and your goals. You will receive clear information about what is necessary — without high-pressure scheduling or extended commitments.

  • Will the adjustment hurt?

Most adjustments are comfortable and relieving. Some patients may feel mild pressure or tightness during treatment, but discomfort is uncommon and typically brief.

  • How many visits will I need?

Treatment length varies based on your condition, how long symptoms have been present, and your overall mobility. Some patients improve in a few visits, while others benefit from periodic care to maintain stability and function.

  • Which conditions do you treat?

    Common concerns include:

    back and neck pain

    sciatica

    hip and leg discomfort

    headaches

    limited mobility

    joint restriction

    postural imbalance

pain from work or daily activities

If you’re unsure whether chiropractic care can help, an evaluation can determine the most appropriate treatment.

  • What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first appointment includes a health history review, a physical evaluation, and an explanation of what is contributing to your symptoms. If appropriate, you will also receive an initial adjustment. The goal is to understand your condition clearly and outline the best path forward.

  • Do I need a referral from my medical doctor?

No referral is needed. You may schedule directly.

  • Can children or seniors receive chiropractic care?

Yes. Treatment is adapted to the patient’s age, mobility, and specific condition to ensure comfort and safety for all age groups.

  • How soon can I be seen?

Appointments are available throughout the week. Same-week availability is common, and occasional same-day openings may be offered based on the schedule.
